It is not therapy. No one will be doing anything to anyone. We will not be focusing on ‘managing your symptoms’; we will be addressing and changing the core issues that cause your symptoms and problems, and training you with powerful resources and skills to completely change the way you think and experience.   • A six-session training programme that equips you with all the insights, skills and resources you need in order to be happy and in control in your life.
  • One-to-one weekly interactive sessions covering topics such as: self esteem, your sense of control over your life, social anxiety, unhelpful thinking styles (eg, catastrophising, brooding, perfectionist), etc.
  • Unique and revolutionary – it is completely different to any other intervention available, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), counselling, psychotherapy, NLP or hypnotherapy.
  • The aim of the sessions is to create strong psychological foundations, such as good self esteem and an inner sense of control. When these are formed, we don’t create symptoms and anxieties.

WHY IS TRAINING YOUR THINKING MORE EFFECTIVE THAN OTHER ‘THERAPIES’ I MAY HAVE TRIED?


Thinking is just a habit. Or rather the way we think is only a habit (think of the advances in neuroscience, studies that prove that habits can be changed, neuroplasticity, evidence of stroke victims relearning to walk, etc). You can train your brain to think differently especially if it isn’t working for you. This is not one of those positive psychology programmes you have read all over Facebook and the web. This is about actually changing the way you think – changing your thinking patterns. The programme is both teaching and training. You will gain all the psychological insights about yourself (the how and why you think, feel and behave the way you do), together with actionable skills and resources with which to create lasting change to your thinking. By practicing your new ‘thinking habits’, you will build strong and robust helpful thinking habits. This is why Thrive is training and why it is so effective.

HOW WILL IT BE TAUGHT, AND WILL THERE BE ANY WORK OUTSIDE THE SESSION?


The course takes place across 6-8 weeks in a one-on-one format either face-to-face or online.
Our weekly sessions will be fun, thought provoking, and interactive. There will be simple practices and assignments between classes to integrate learning. The course is experiential first, and supported by a programme manual and workbook. It is my job to make sure you get the most out of your course and I am available outside session times either online, via email or telephone.
Self esteem is only a way of thinking. Learn to think differently.
Participation is an important part of thriving and it is essential to feel able to approach and access on going support as you progress through the course. Time requirement: 30 mins per day active learning/practice that can be done alongside everyday activities, plus your online session attendance.
